Magic that seduces This wine, the Mezzanella Amandorlato Recioto, is a real event. It appears in the glass in an impenetrable ruby red and almost viscous. Its bouquet is extremely varied and smells of sweet spices such as cinnamon, cocoa and vanilla as well as baked fruit and honey. Orange, berries and espresso aromas can also be found. In terms of taste, a velvety sweetness and fullness dominates at the beginning. The full-bodied wine tastes of dried plums, raisins and culminates in a bittersweet finish. This shows hints of dark chocolate, cigars and almonds. The wine has an intense but harmonious sweetness because it is a Recioto. It was therefore produced using the appassimento process. The harvested berries are air-dried on shelves so that the ingredients are more concentrated. These berries are then fermented and made into a sweet wine. The Recioto is the sweet counterpart to the Amarone. The vineyards where the grapes for this wine grow are exposed to the south and enjoy a particularly long hours of sunshine. The soil on which they grow is permeable sediments and stony. The terraced areas, which are made of dry stone masonry, are not only a wonderful sight, they also offer the optimal conditions for the grapes to ripen. Thanks to the high-quality grapes and the know-how of the Masi team, this wine is so seductive and magical.
