Even prettier in pink Norma Ratcliffe, who founded Warwick Estate in South Africa with her husband more than four decades ago, is known as the First Lady of Cape winemaking. A unique monument was erected to her with the "The First Lady" wines. The Warwick Estate "The First Lady Rosé" is a particularly fruity, dry rosé wine that is truly worthy of a monument! On the nose, the noble wine smells of ripe strawberries and red currants. On the palate, it shows gentle notes of watermelon and raspberries, thus presenting the South African grape variety Pinotage in the best possible way. The grapes ripen under ideal conditions at the foot of the Simonsberg. Here the grapes are given their full strength and elegance and the absence of chemical fertilizers allows the vines to ripen healthy and strong. The fruity South African rosé wine goes particularly well with tartar and a dash of truffle oil and is also particularly good to enjoy on a warm summer evening! This wine goes well with various dishes.
