A Vino Nobile as you wish With the Tenuta Calimaia Vino Nobile di Montepulciano you can enjoy a masterful red wine full of history. The Frescobaldi family once provided the mayor of Montepulciano in the 14th century. With this wine they celebrate their return to the prestigious wine region. It is perfect for cozy evenings for two or as an accompaniment to a sumptuous meal with friends and family. The vineyards of the Tenuta Calimaia are located in a historic growing area that is considered one of the best for the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Here the grapes grow on loamy soils where they develop rich tannins and ripe fruit aromas. After the selective harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and vinified in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The cuvée, made from 90 percent Sangiovese and 10 percent complementary grape varieties, then matures for 24 months in 50-hectoliter oak barrels. The great effort pays off. The bouquet alone invites you to indulge in notes of red fruits, herbs such as sage and lavender, and finely spicy aromas of cocoa. In the mouth, this Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is extremely powerful with a beautiful freshness and elegant acidity. Fruity aromas of raspberries and currants characterize the taste, which is structured by silky tannins. The finish is long and precise. - That's exactly how we want a Vino Nobile. Bravissimo!
